In Episode 8, Levi gets down and dirty with dump stations. There will come a point, or many points, in your travels when dumping the contents of your grey and/or black tank is necessary. There are three main places RVers can do this business: RV parks, truck stops, and rest stops. For the most part, customers must pay a fee to use this service at an RV park and truck stop. There are some truck stops that offer the use of their RV dump station for free like at this stop in Minnesota. Other than that, your best bet for free dumping privileges are at rest stops.
Having said that, not all rest stops have this amenity. We often check using the online service, Allstays. We search rest stops along our route using this app/program and learn about their amenities by simply clicking on the “rest stop” icons.
